Things worth bringing home. And a few I probably should've left behind.

It's been three weeks and I'm still thinking about her.

$6 jug, $2 books, brass I did not need. The dresser was already mine, for the record.

6:40am. Coffee number two. This is the good part.

The jacket was four dollars and two sizes too big, which is exactly the right amount too big. I cuffed the sleeves once, left everything else alone, and wore it three days in a row. The trick with thrifted denim is to stop styling it before it starts looking styled — one good cap, one soft tee, and let the jacket do the talking.

Still looking for the perfect broken-in boot in a 8.5. Two years and counting.

I told everyone I was going out for milk. I came back with a chair strapped into a hatchback with the seats down and one very confused dog. The stripes are original, the frame is solid oak, and the cushion smells faintly of somebody's grandmother's house — which I've decided to keep. Forty-seven dollars, and it's the best thing in the room.

Bought the vest. Thought about the mirror. Regret is a genre.
